For kids: how [PRODUCT_NAME] keeps you safe
Hi! This is a special note just for you. The grown-ups have a much longer version, but here's what you need to know — in plain words.
What is [PRODUCT_NAME]?
[PRODUCT_NAME] is your learning friend. You can read together, do maths, learn languages, ask curious questions, and chat when you're feeling worried or proud. A grown-up at home set it up for you.
What we keep
We try to keep as little as possible. We keep:
- Your first name (so we can say hi properly)
- How old you are
- What you like (your favourite topics)
- A short note about each chat — not the whole conversation, unless your grown-up changes that
- Times when something tricky happened, so your grown-up can help
What we do NOT keep
We never ask for:
- Your last name
- Where you live
- Your phone number
- A photo of you
- The name of your school
If anyone — even our learning friend — ever asks you for these things, that's a mistake. You can stop and tell a grown-up.
What we will never do
- We will never show you ads.
- We will never sell anything about you.
- We will never ask you to keep a secret from your grown-up.
- We will never pretend to be a real person.
- We will never help you with a test you're taking right now.
Things you can always do
- Stop talking if a chat feels strange.
- Tell a grown-up anything — even small things.
- Pick a new topic any time.
- Ask "why?" about anything.
When something feels wrong
If you ever feel sad, scared, or unsafe — please tell a grown-up you trust. [PRODUCT_NAME] is good for learning, but a real grown-up is much better when something is hard.
Big-kid rights
You have rights. Cool, right? Here are some:
- You can ask to see what we know about you.
- You can ask us to forget what we know.
- You can change your mind any time.
Your grown-up sends us the note for these. If you want to do it, ask them.
Questions?
Tell your grown-up. They have a special email and can ask us anything: [PRIVACY_EMAIL]
A promise
We made this so you can learn and have fun safely. If we ever change something important about your data, we'll tell your grown-up before it happens. That's a promise.
